Maris College.
Location:
The Hague
Installation:
Air handling unit
01
Challenge accepted.
The presence of healthy air in classrooms is crucial for students' performance. That's why we were asked to install a ventilation system at the Maris College in The Hague. Installing such systems is always a challenge in existing buildings, and on top of that, the work had to be carried out during the school holidays.
02
Adding smartness.
After a thorough preliminary study and selecting the right units, the engineering phase began. Each classroom had its own specific features. The air had to be drawn in through both the exterior walls and the roof, then expelled. That’s why we developed a separate plan for each room. Of course, a strict schedule was also put in place.
03
We keep it real.
As soon as the last student closed the school door behind them to enjoy the holidays, we got to work. The project lasted throughout the entire summer break.
04
Done.
When those same students returned from their holiday, they could immediately start their lessons in a fresh classroom, equipped with a brand-new ventilation system. Naturally, it includes heat recovery, as we always aim to keep energy consumption as low as possible.
