Linflowers, based in Zuilichem, Gelderland, is a specialist in chrysanthemum cultivation, growing as many as 40 million flowers each year. The family business has roots dating back to the Middle Ages but has evolved into a high-tech horticultural company over the years. The company approached us for the construction of a large new project. The 7.6-hectare nursery became Linflowers' third location. The client knew exactly what they wanted when they came to us.

Adding smartness.
For years, Verkade Klimaat has been installing lifting systems and has access to specialized, smart heating technology that is particularly useful for chrysanthemum cultivation. The heating pipes are mounted on a frame that can be mechanically moved up and down, supporting the weight of the flowers. "It's specialist work – you don't find that kind of knowledge on every street corner," says David van Tuijl from Linflowers.

We keep it real.
We designed a very detailed plan before we started work at Linflowers, following extensive consultations with the client. This ensured we knew exactly how the entire piping system would be laid out. "Even the other contractors were impressed with the detailed plan. 'We can work with this,' they all said," says David van Tuijl. "And that turned out to be absolutely true."

Done.
"You only truly get to know someone when you take on such a large project together," summarizes David van Tuijl about the collaboration. "With Verkade Klimaat, you know that a deal is a deal. They’ve always stuck to their word. The system is running perfectly. Regular maintenance is done once a year, but honestly, it runs so smoothly that it’s hardly even necessary."
